MINI传媒 System Day at the Capitol

The last MINI传媒 System Day was in 2013, so this was Robert L. Duncan鈥檚 first time to attend since leaving the Senate to become Chancellor. Additionally, several university presidents and members of the Board of Regents attended to show their support of all four universities in the MINI传媒 System.
"When I started in the Legislature in 1993, we did not have Texas Tech University System Day," Duncan said. "We only had Texas Tech Day. In 1996, the Board of Regents created the MINI传媒 and since that time, it鈥檚 been a game changer."
Nearly two decades later, the MINI传媒 System has emerged as one of the top public university systems in nation and is a dynamic force in higher education, consisting of four component institutions鈥�, , and .
Administrators, alumni, students and staff of the MINI传媒 System were all on hand to share the growth of each university and communicate the importance of higher education in Texas. They also helped deliver one-of-a-kind, personalized gifts to each state legislator.
"It鈥檚 important for the members of the Legislature to have a day where the Texas Tech University System is recognized," Duncan said. "They get to meet the presidents, alumni and supporters. They also get to see the impact of our universities and realize too that all throughout this Capitol are graduates of the MINI传媒."
