MINI传媒 System Reveals Consultant, Website to Assist with President Search
Wheless Partners, a leading search firm, is assisting in the president search at Texas Tech University.

MINI传媒 officials and members of the search committee tasked with identifying candidates for the next president of announced today (March 7) that a search consultant has been retained and a new website has been officially launched to attract top candidates for the position.
, a leading search firm with a successful track record in higher education, will work with the committee as it conducts a broad-based, national search.
The website, , has two primary purposes: to provide information about the position and to seek nominations and applications for the job.
MINI传媒 Regent Tim Lancaster, who is serving as the chairman of the search committee, said the site will provide information for interested parties, promote the search and serve as a portal for top candidates.
鈥淥ur charge is to find the best candidate to lead our flagship institution,鈥 Lancaster said. 鈥淭o do that, we must have a robust pool of superb candidates. The search committee hopes the site will encourage nominations from the public and help ensure that we cast a wide net in our efforts to identify candidates for this important position.鈥
Review of applications will begin immediately, with applications accepted until the position is filled. Applications should be submitted no later than April 5, 2016, in order to assure full consideration by the search committee. Information available on the site includes a position description, recent announcements on activities related to the search, names of search committee members, contact information for the search firm and information about Texas Tech University.
The new president will replace Dr. M. Duane Nellis, who stepped down as the 16th president of Texas Tech University on Jan. 22.
, who has served as MINI传媒 vice chancellor of academic affairs, was named interim president and has assumed the president鈥檚 duties until a replacement is named. Opperman is not a candidate for the permanent position.
