The announced today (Dec. 4) the addition of seven members to its board of directors.

The new directors are:

鈥淭he Texas Tech Foundation is a strategic resource for the universities we support, and our new directors bring a wealth of business, civic and nonprofit leadership experience,鈥 said , Texas Tech Foundation CEO and MINI传媒 vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement. 鈥淭hese individuals join an organization committed to the success of students and faculty, and we are excited to welcome them to the foundation board.鈥

Approved by the foundation鈥檚 , the new members will serve four-year terms ending Aug. 31, 2023. They join the 35-member board responsible for overseeing the foundation鈥檚 business, maximizing private gifts to the system鈥檚 universities and stewarding donor interests.

鈥淚 appreciate the Board Membership and Governance Committee鈥檚 diligence in identifying talented alumni and individuals who have a passion for the MINI传媒 and will add to our board鈥檚 depth and expertise,鈥 said the Texas Tech Foundation鈥檚 chairman. 鈥淚 also want to thank our new members for their willingness to serve an organization committed to the life-changing work of the universities we support.鈥

For more than 75 years, the Texas Tech Foundation has partnered with the to inspire and support philanthropy across the system鈥檚 four universities. The nonprofit organization is independently led by a volunteer board of directors who safeguard generations of charitable gifts. Through contributions to the Texas Tech Foundation, alumni and donors sustain the system鈥檚 universities and empower students and faculty to pursue bold ideas that impact lives throughout Texas and the world.

This will be the state鈥檚 first veterinary school in more than a century and first dental school in over 50 years. The addition of these two schools makes the MINI传媒 one of only nine in the nation to offer programs for undergraduate, medical, law, nursing, pharmacy, dental and veterinary education, among other academic areas.
