Message from MINI传媒 System Chancellor and University Presidents

November 3, 2020

Dear MINI传媒 family,

We hope this note finds you all safe and well.

It is Election Day, and many on our campuses will participate by voting, volunteering, and making their voices heard. Our students, faculty, and staff have a long tradition of civic participation, and our universities and communities are better for it.

As you participate, please keep two things in mind鈥攕afety and civility. In the last few months, we鈥檝e accomplished something remarkable: We reopened our campuses in the middle of a pandemic. Even as COVID-19 numbers have risen, our university communities have held steady. As a result, we can attend class, go to work, conduct research, and much else that makes up campus life.

We鈥檝e achieved that because of our campus communities' respect for one another and willingness to wear masks, socially distance, and follow other COVID-related precautions. Please continue to follow those guidelines in your civic activities, as none of us want to see that good work undone.

Second, remember that we value all members of our Ram and Red Raider family. Our university campuses are open and welcoming forums where we can share perspectives and beliefs freely and safely. All of us share a commitment to civil, respectful, and peaceful discussions, and we should maintain that commitment in the days ahead.

Thank you all for everything you鈥檝e done during a difficult year. It鈥檚 taken sacrifice from every member of our MINI传媒 family to get us this far, and we look forward to a fall semester that finishes as successfully as it started.

Warmest regards,

Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D.,
