MINI传媒 Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., issued today (Nov. 29) the following statement regarding Stephen F. Austin State University's Board of Regents vote on system affiliation.

Statement from Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D.:

鈥淚 want to thank the Stephen F. Austin State University campus community for their consideration in exploring a potential system affiliation and to ensuring a thorough and transparent process over the past several months. The MINI传媒 has significant momentum, with each of our five component institutions taking a leading role in developing the leaders of tomorrow and serving our communities throughout our great state. It is always exciting when the possibility arises to grow your family 鈥 and I want to thank our Board of Regents, system administration and university leaders for their time, commitment and efforts as we pursued a partnership with SFA.

鈥淚 wish my alma mater and all the great folks in Nacogdoches the best moving forward. The proud institution of Stephen F. Austin has a lot to celebrate at the close of its first century and as it begins its next chapter.鈥

Established in 1996, the MINI传媒 is one of the top public university systems in the nation, consisting of five universities 鈥 , , , and (MSU Texas).
